Coldwell and the Larry’s battled back and forth all game long with Coldwell taking the lead 12- 11 in the top of the 7th inning on Bob Williams 2 run Home Run.  The Larry’s came back when Gene Chervinko drove in Lee Szromba for the tying run in the bottom of the inning and then unfortunately, for Coldwell, our format called for a flip of the coin to break the tie and Larry Ott Realty won.  Leading the way for Coldwell was Rob Bergstresser 4 – 4 with three doubles and a triple, Bob Williams 3 – 3 with a HR, Don Hill 3 – 4 with a triple and a HR and sub Jim Kreidler 3 – 4.  Larry Ott’s was paced by John Morgan 4 – 4 with two HR’s and Jerry Ida 3 – 4 with a double.

It was tight and back and forth with Grandview leading 7 – 6 after 3 innings.  Brenda’s took the lead 9 – 7 in the 4th but Grandview came back to take 11 – 9 lead going into the last inning,  Sub John Morgan hit his 3rd HR of the day to tie the game and the rest of Brenda’s crew added 3 more runs to take a 14 – 11 victory.  Brenda’s was led by Tom Cullaro 4 – 4 with a double, sub Jerry Ida 4 – 4, sub Rob Bergstresser 4 – 4 with a double and Jim Kreidler 3 – 4.  Pacing Grandview were Wes Horen 3 – 3 with two triples, Ray Murphy 3 – 3 with a double, Ray Keller 2 – 2, Mark Chambers 2 – 3 and the Bear 2 – 3 with a double.

The Town Cryers took a 12 – 11 lead into the top of the 7th inning and then stood around and watched Pruitt’s score 13 runs to squeeze out a 24 – 13 victory.  The Cryers were led as usual by Ron Barsness 3 – 3 with 2 triples, Tom Adamack, Jim Brown and Bill Goldspink were all 3 – 3.  I may run out of ink mentioning all the leaders for Pruitt’s but here goes.  Bill Schneidwind 5 – 5 with 2 doubles, Randy Broughton 5 – 5 with a double, Dennis Haggerty 4 – 4, Bill Lardinois 4 – 4 with a double, Del Stolp 4 – 5 with a triple, Dave Ryg 3 – 5 with two doubles and super sub Rob Bergstresser 3 – 4 with a double and triple making him 11 – 12 for the day with 5 doubles and two triples, nice job Rob.

In a low scoring battle Vital Care jumped on top with 3 runs in the 1st inning.  AZ CCC bounced right back with 3 runs of their own in the 2nd inning.  Vital Care tacked on the winning run in the 3rd inning and then it was a defensive battle the rest of the way.  Joe Hornick tripled in two runs and Pam Myrick went 2 – 2 for AZ CCC.  Vital Care was led by sub Mike Short 3 – 3, Ray Huston 2 – 3 with a double and Bob Boldt 2 – 3.

Hole-N-One was out early and had a 8 – 0 lead before Solar City had a 4 run 3rd inning to tighten things a bit.  They added one more run in the 4th inning but the Aces scored 3 in the 5th inning to cement the 11 – 5 victory over Solar City ending their year.  Hole-N-One was paced by Joe Emmons 3 – 3, Al Bonner 3 – 3 with a double, Sam Barian 2 – 3 with a double, Mick Conway 2 – 3 and sub Jim Kreidler 2 – 3.  Leading Solar City was Don Kjerstad 2 - 3 with a HR, Mike Short 2 – 3, Bill Hardin 2 – 3 with a triple, Joy Harrison 2 – 3 and Fred Cooley 2 – 3.
