The Sun Cities Senior Softball League was formed to allow the Sun City Softball Club and Sun City West Softball Club to comingle and enjoy the experience of senior softball within the two Del Webb communities. We also share inter-community sports with other senior communities. From 2002 thru September of 2011 the Sun Cities Senior Softball League governed both American and National League play, and had a separate Board of Directors which was comprised of a 7 person Board with 4 board members from one club and 3 board members from the other club. Every other year each club would supply 4 members while the other club provided 3 members. In 2009 the name was changed to the Sun Cities Senior Softball Association. However in September of 2011 both clubs decidecided to reduce the complexity of the playing agreement by dissolving the Association Board, changing the name, and put the American League Committee incharge of the American League and the National League Committee incharge of the National League. Both League Committees report to each club board at their respective club meetings. The name Sun Cities Senior Softball League now refers to the comingling of the two clubs playing in the American and National Leagues.
