AL Write-Up - January 27 2026
It’s opening day for the spring session.
Game 1: Liberty Buick vs Edward Jones.
Liberty Buick lead by manager Jerry Bartholomaus was blanked for the first 3 innings. Edward Jones lead by manager Mike Brach scored 5 runs in the first 3 innings the big hit a Greg Cummings 3 run HR, 5-0.
Top of the 4th Liberty broke the goose egg with 2 runs after a Buckley Simmons double 5-2. The Investors answered with a max 4 runs on 6 hits including a Mark Sertic double to extend lead 9-2. The Buicks added a solo run after a Dan Rauscher double 9-3.
For the 2nd straight inning Jones put up 4 runs as Mark Sertic doubled for 2nd time followed by a George Semanie 2B, 13-3. Liberty scored another single run now 13-4. Jones scored a run after Geoffery Bianchi singled to give Edward Jones a run rule game 14-4 in 6 innings.

Game 2: Classic Car Wash vs Western Bank
Classic failed to score for the first 3 innings as Western Bank put up 8 runs on 15 hits including a Dan Griffiths 2B, 8-0.
Classic broke into the scoring with max 4 runs as Randy Coutts 2B closed the gap 8-4. Bottom of the 4th Western was held scoreless.
Both teams failed to score in the 5th inning still 8-4.
Classic added 2 runs in 6th after another Randy Coutts 2B 8-6. Bottom half the Bankers made a 4 run deposit to extend the scoring 12-6.
Open inning the 7th Car Wash ran out of soap scoring just 2 runs for a Western 12-8 win.

Game 3: Camino Del Sol vs Home Smart
Camino scored a solo run in top of 1st as Home Smart put up max 4 runs on 6 hits 4-1 after 1 complete.
The gravediggers were held scoreless over the next 3 innings as Home added solo runs over the same span 7-1.
Camino scored 2 runs after 2 RBI double from Bob Hull 7-3. Home added a run after Tim Barkes 2B now 8-3.
The gravediggers came back from the dead scoring max 4 runs as Bob Kuehl Homered to tighten game up 8-7. Home Smart answered with 3 runs in bottom of the 6th to extend lead 11-7.
Camino went down quickly and quietly in 7th final 11-7 Home Smart
