Game 1: Stella’s Wish - 7 vs. Encore Floors - 6
(They kept it close - Game)
With Stella’s in the lead again this session and Encore floors rising like a phoenix from Tuesday’s ashes. I am sure Manager Fraley made positional moves in Defense and Batting order to show the team's best against the current best, Stella’s. The Hit count was upside-down as Encore won that battle, 23/19. Further, Encore's Phil Sousa had the only extra base in the game, a double, and gets honorable mention batting .750, 3/4. The Moose was on the loose batting 3/3 as did Manager Fraley.
For Stella’s, Ramirez and Manager Donna Reed were perfect 3/3. Stella's showed they were in command when in the 3rd they full-boated with 4 runs. Sadly, my words can’t explain the thrill of the game, the anticipation after the tied 5th and the 1 run 6th for Stella’s with Ecore’s top hands sure to appear. In the end, you could say, ‘Stella’s hung on’ or ‘Encore Floors had no finish!’
Game 2: Heather R. Johnson Team (HRJT) - 15 vs Ideal Insurance – 11
(Slug-Fest or the No Defense - Game)
Wow! This one was exciting. The fans sure got their money’s worth. The Hit count was all but tied at 25/24 the winners. Extra bases went to the HRH team as Steven Carr Tripled with a days total of 5 RBIs. His day was only bettered by Sub, Russel ‘The Mussel’ Orgrinz. The ex-fly boy punched his ticket for a round tripper and with his days effort at, 3/4 added 2 RBI’s. Judy Christ doubled as did the speedy Ken Fecko. Manager Heather Johnson was perfect, as was Tom Smithpeters. 6 Batters made 4 plate appearances each for HRJT while 5 from Ideal Insurance also appeared 4 times 20 out of 22 players received hit credits. Ideal just couldn’t make it happen as the Realtor’s closed the deal in the 6th and open inning. For Ideal, no one was perfect yet 4 went 3/4, Glenn Seely and Scott Peterson doubled.
Game 3: Sun Canyon Bank (SCB) – 11 vs Larry Ott Realty - 2
(There’s Better Days Ahead - Game)
The Hit count went the way of the game 24/19. A look at the Larry Ott lineup leaves one to wonder..wassssup? Did LO back-down on the bonuses? Yes, the Otters handed out 6 walks to the Bankers but still a well know fact, you have to score runs if you expect to win. Larry Ott got started scoring one in the 1st and then the dry spell. One more tally in the 4th ad that was all she wrote! Mark Wells and Turbo Pavia were the stars going 3/3. The Realtor's had no extra bases.
Meanwhile back at the Bank the were doing a ‘Land Office’ business scoring in all but the 2nd inning. Tom Conway and Mike Regner were 4/4 and Honorable mention to Sam Beck, 3/4. LOL! Of course Charles Powell doubled for the only extra base hit.
