Annette's Heart Surgery

March 13, 2024 Update

Bob let us know Monday evening about how Annette's heart surgery went. He said, "All went well with the surgery. They did replace the mitral valve rather than repair it." At  that time they were waiting to see her in the ICU. He is unsure of how long her hospital stay will be. "We are giving God all the glory!! Thanks so much for all the prayers. Our precious Lord was listening!!!"

Let's continue to pray for Annette as she recovers and rehabs from the heart valve replacement.

March 10, 2024

Your prayers are asked for by Bob and Annette. Annette is scheduled for heart surgery tomorrow, Monday March 11th. She will undergo surgery to replace a heart valve. Let's pray for a successful surgery and comfort and peace for them. Update will follow as info becomes available.

Forrest's Spinal Procedure

March 13, 2024 Update

We received an update today on Forrest's spine surgery complications and additional procedure to repair the leaking spinal fluid. He was able to sit up for two hours Monday but he became symptomatic. We understand they would try to get him to stand yesterday.

Please keep praying for Forrest and Shelley while they continue on this healing journey.

Correction: He is at Banner Thunderbird in Glendale on 57th NOT Banner Boswell. Sorry for the confusion.

March 10, 2024

Here's an update about Forrest's care and health. He is hospitalized at Banner Boswell in Sun City. The way we understand it, he is experiencing post surgical leaking of spinal fluid. He is undergoing a procedure to heal the opening. He is hoping to be released tomorrow depending on the success of this procedure. Let's continue our thoughts and prayers for Forrest and Shelley during this time. And prayers specifically for this procedure to work so he does not have to have another surgery.

Richard "Rich" Bogosian's Death

March 9, 2024

We just learned about this sad news. Richard Bogosian, born 6 December 1942 in Chicago Illinois passed away peacefully in his home Sunday 17 December 2023. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years Barbara.

Rich was known for always being there to lend a hand and the first to say “Hey! Can I help? What do you need?” to any and everyone. Rich relished in building up his community.

Rich and Barb spent many beautiful years in Sun City, Arizona where they enjoyed growing fruit trees and spending time with their friends at the ball fields, enjoying a nice meal and even checking out a casino. Rich loved baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs, football as long as it was Ohio State, and restoring antique Corvettes. Rich enjoyed playing in softball leagues, beating his friends in darts and pool, and always having a smile on his face. Although he had many hobbies and interests, Rich was most passionate about friendship and the love he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Fred Mingo-Injury on the Field

March 9, 2024

We spoke with Alice Mingo this morning. She said she expects Fred to be released from the hospital today.

During this manager/player's game on Tuesday the 5th, Fred was injured in a collision with the defending shortstop fielding the ball. Both with their heads down, while Fred was running from 2nd to 3rd, they collided. He was treated in the ER at Banner Boswell on Tuesday. Transferred on Wednesday with Surgery on Thursday at Banner Thunderbird. Good news; his broken jaw did not have to be wired shut. Bad news; when he heard his team lost the next game they played on Thursday he was not happy

Fred and Alice, we will keep you in our thoughts and our prayers are for post surgical healing and good care.
