Player Injury Recovery

September 10, 2022

Dottie Johnson

Some may have been there when Dottie was injured at practice on Friday the 2nd and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Concerning the injury, she wants everyone to know she’s still recovering, having some vision issues but is improving. She suffered a broken nose in two places when she was hit by a batted ball. Her vision is being treated with medication. She wants everyone to know she’ll be fine and is on the mends.

What I heard from her is how much she’s being cared for by her husband, Jeff, and everyone of the softball family who rallied around with flowers, cards, and meals. Thoughts and prayers for healing, Dottie.

"Thank You" Message

August 11, 2022

From “Billy” Jenkins:

“For years I have read the postings on Angels in the Outfield and gladly offered my support and prayers to the people involved with either sickness or the loss of a family member. Until it happens to be you that the support is being asked for do you personally feel the impact of the calls, cards and prayers and the caring loving joy it brings. I thank you for the blessings you have given to me. Sincerely, Bill Jenkins"

Words of Appreciation

From Kathryn McCormack:

“Praise God I got my drain tube out on August 1 and have been pain free since July 19.  I am so grateful for all of the love support and prayers from the senior softball family.  All of the cards I have received are still displayed in our dining room as a continual reminder of the loving softball family that surrounds both of us. Thank you again for your prayers, thoughts and loving support during this time of my healing from surgery and its complications.

Love and hugs, Kathryn (& Jack) McCormack”
