Hello everyone,
My name is Heather R. Johnson, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new chairman of the Sun City West chapter of Angels in the Outfield. Though I am new player of softball, and new to Sun City West, I have called the valley my home since 1988. Since getting sober in 1995, I have dedicated myself to serving others in various capacities. Helping others is my passion, whether in work, play, social settings, or other endeavors. I am excited to lead our chapter and contribute to the remarkable work we do. I look forward to getting to know each of you better as we continue our mission together.
Thank you for your warm welcome and support. Let’s make a positive impact in our community!

To our softball family,
As we came together for Golden Oldies 2026, we want to take a moment to thank every one of you for your participation, your time, and the countless hours of volunteering that make this community so special. This event would not have been possible without the dedication, heart, and generosity of those who continue to show up—on and off the field—to support one another and keep this league thriving. We also take this time to honor and remember the friends we have lost. They were more than players—they were teammates, competitors, and part of the spirit that defines our softball family. We are incredibly grateful for the years we were able to share the field with them, the memories we created, and the friendships that will always remain. Their presence is still felt in every game, every laugh, and every moment we gather together. Thank you all for being a part of something so meaningful. With heartfelt appreciation, Heather R. Johnson On behalf of the Golden Oldies Community
